Moisture, gases, and contaminates in compressed air can cause a variety of operational problems for equipment and users. Common problems include corrosion of equipment, freezing of outdoor air lines, and contamination of processes and products. This results in increased maintenance, higher operating costs, damaged product and lost production capacity. For these reasons, packages for compressed clean dry air (CDA) are essential for industrial and laboratory use. Twin Tower Engineering offers a wide variety of standard and custom-engineered products including mini (0.40 to 3.2 SCFM), small (2.8 - 50 SCFM), and large (55 -5000 SCFM) regenerative desiccant air dryers. Using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, our regenerative air dryers are designed to maximize the efficiency of the drying process with low velocity air flowing through the desiccant and large internal air passages to reduce pressure drop. Twin Tower Engineering's desiccant air dryers are dependable, require low maintenance, and easy to monitor.
In addition to our standard desiccant dryers, we manufacture dryers containing specialized molecular sieve and catalyst media for the removal of CO2 or CO, as well as moisture. For example, our CO2 adsorbers uses media beds featuring 13X molecular sieve in a pressure swing adsorption process for efficient adsorption of CO2. Outlet CO2 levels are reduced to less than 1 PPM and outlet H2O levels to less than -100°F dew point. Adsorbed moisture and CO2 are desorbed and vented to atmosphere while dry CO2 free air is provided at the outlet port with flows up to 320 SLPM (11.3 SCFM).
Twin Tower Engineering also offers Clean-Dry Air (CDA) packages. CDA compressed air dryer packages are complete, enclosed, compact units, each consisting of a compressor, regenerative desiccant air dryer, coalescing and particulate filters, and a regulator. These packages are great for applications requiring low volumes of clean-dry compressed air at pressures up to 100 PSIG. Our unique, self-contained design allows for superior performance and longevity. Convenient carrying handles are also provided for each unit.
Twin Tower Engineering also carries membrane air dryers in a variety of styles. Membrane dryers use hollow tubes composed of a macro-molecular membrane through which moisture passes easily, but does not allow air (oxygen and nitrogen) through. Membrane dryers are small, compact units that can provide a +40°F or lower pressure dew points.
We also manufacture accessories for your clean-dry compressed air systems, including moisture indicators and humidity alarms. Moisture indicators provide an inexpensive way to monitor a dry compressed air system. The moisture indicators are built in several pipe thread sizes. They can be installed in the air line anywhere after the air dryer or on the dryer outlet, and changes color (from blue to pink) when moisture levels rise. The electronic humidity alarms are designed to allow remote monitoring of a dry compressed air line, providing a local warning light when a high level of moisture is present, and provide a dry contact closure for PLC input or a complete air flow shut-off.
Filtration is essential to remove oil aerosols, condensed water, and particulates, in any compressed air line. TTE's high efficiency coalescing and particulate filters protect your compressed air and gas systems from these contaminants.
